Famous Amulet Expert 'Tone Bangkae' Faces Charges
Police have charged prominent amulet expert 'Tone Bangkae' with three offenses, though he has denied the allegations and declined to provide a statement during the initial investigation.
On August 6, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that police from the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) conducted raids on two locations in Nonthaburi, including the home and business premises of Tonthong Sukkaen, widely known as 'Tone Bangkae.' Authorities seized several items as evidence, including approximately 10 magnifying glasses used for examining amulets, promotional brochures, company stamps, and various documents.
Police Major General Thatsaphum Charuprat, Commander of the ECD, confirmed that the suspect has been formally charged with three offenses. During the initial investigation, Tone Bangkae denied the charges and chose not to provide a statement to the authorities. Officials clarified that the suspect has not fled and remains under investigation. While the case is currently linked to 12 formal complaints from individuals—many of whom are fans of the expert—authorities estimate that the total number of affected parties could exceed 50.
