Egg Prices in Thailand Set to Rise to 4 Baht per Unit
A coalition of Thai egg cooperatives has announced a price increase of 0.20 baht per egg, effective August 7, 2026.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a network of egg producer cooperatives—including those in Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Chiang Mai-Lamphun, and the Noi River Basin—has issued a formal notice regarding an upcoming price adjustment. Starting Friday, August 7, 2026, the farm-gate price for mixed-grade chicken eggs will increase by 0.20 baht per unit, or 6 baht per tray.
This adjustment brings the price of a single egg to 4.00 baht, up from the previous rate of 3.80 baht. The cooperatives stated that this new pricing structure will remain in effect until further notice.
For residents and travelers in Thailand, this increase reflects a continued upward trend in food costs.
