A 20-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle pickup truck accident on the Wang Thong-Sak Lek road in Phitsanulok province.
On the evening of August 5, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Wang Thong-Sak Lek road in the Wat Ta Yom sub-district of Bang Krathum, Phitsanulok. According to reports from Khaosod Online, a pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old man lost control and overturned into the road's median strip.
Emergency responders, including local rescue foundations and medical personnel from Bang Krathum Hospital, arrived at the scene to find the vehicle severely damaged. Rescue teams utilized hydraulic cutting equipment to extract passengers trapped inside. Among those involved was 20-year-old Ms. Chalita Thongphut, who was later confirmed deceased. Another passenger, identified as Ms. Saranporn, was transported to Bang Krathum Hospital for medical treatment. The driver, Mr. Jetnipat, was also present at the scene.
