Authorities in Nakhon Si Thammarat have intercepted 1.4 million methamphetamine pills hidden within fertilizer sacks, alongside firearms and crystal meth.
On August 5, 2026, officials in Nakhon Si Thammarat, led by provincial governor Somchai Leelanoi and senior police representatives, announced the successful dismantling of a significant drug trafficking network. According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the operation resulted in the seizure of 1.4 million methamphetamine pills, which were discovered concealed inside sacks of fertilizer.
In addition to the pills, law enforcement officers recovered 2.154 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ice), two shotguns, one AK-47 rifle, and 204 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. The operation follows investigative efforts that began on July 27.
