A 60-year-old man has surrendered to police following a fatal dispute with his brother-in-law in Chaiyaphum.
On August 5, 2026, a fatal incident occurred in Ban Lao, Chaiyaphum, resulting in the death of a 52-year-old man. According to reports from Khaosod Online, local police were dispatched to a residence in Moo 3 following a report of a physical altercation. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the victim deceased under a tree with injuries to his head and neck caused by a sharp object.
The suspect, identified as the victim's 60-year-old brother-in-law, remained at the scene to surrender to law enforcement. Preliminary statements provided by the suspect indicate that the conflict began when the victim allegedly attempted to dismantle materials intended for a chicken coop the suspect was constructing. The suspect claimed that after a verbal argument ensued and he felt threatened, he used a knife in self-defense, striking the victim twice.
