Thailand’s Comptroller General’s Department Reports 84% Budget Disbursement for Fiscal Year 2026
Thailand has disbursed 3.19 trillion baht in the first ten months of the 2026 fiscal year, with officials aiming to meet investment targets by year-end.
According to a report from Khaosod Online Thailand, the Comptroller General’s Department has announced that 84% of the 2026 fiscal year budget has been disbursed as of July 31, 2026. Patricia Mongkhonvanit, Director-General of the department, stated that out of the total 3.38 trillion baht budget, 3.19 trillion baht has been spent during the first ten months (October 2025 to July 2026).
Regular expenditures have reached 91.4% of their target, aligning with government projections. Meanwhile, investment expenditures have seen 651 billion baht in committed debt, representing 81.1% of the investment framework, with 470 billion baht already disbursed. The department is now focusing on accelerating the remaining investment budget over the final two months of the fiscal year to reach a 75% disbursement target for capital projects.
For residents and travelers, this high rate of government spending suggests active infrastructure development and public service funding across the country. While the current figures indicate that the government is on track to meet its fiscal goals, the final success of the investment disbursement target remains to be confirmed at the end of the fiscal year in September. These figures reflect internal government accounting and do not directly impact individual visa or immigration status.
