Upon arrival at the location, Owen prepared for the shoot, but was later approached by staff who stated that the brand owner was uncomfortable with her being transgender and requested she leave. Despite Owen’s request for the team to reconsider given that she had already arrived and was ready to work, the decision was upheld. The production team initially offered a small amount of compensation for her time, which the model reportedly found insufficient.
