ttb Bank Launches 'Good Payer' Loan Initiative with Credit-Based Pricing

ttb Bank has introduced a new credit-scoring model for car title loans, aiming to lend 5 billion baht in the final five months of 2026.

According to Khaosod Online Thailand, ttb Bank is shifting its car title loan standards by replacing vehicle age requirements with a credit-scoring system. Under the new 'ttb drive' product, which does not require a title transfer, interest rates are now determined by the borrower's credit score from the National Credit Bureau (NCB) rather than the age of the vehicle.

Thakorn Piyapan, President of ttb Bank, stated that this 'Risk-Based Pricing' approach allows borrowers with strong repayment histories to access interest rates starting at 11.11% per annum, or 0.52% per month on a flat-rate basis. The bank has set a target to issue 5 billion baht in loans under this initiative during the final five months of 2026. This program builds upon the bank's previous implementation of similar scoring models for its 'ttb cash to go' personal loans, where the bank reported that 80% of customers received lower interest rates compared to previous standards.

For residents in Thailand, this shift may offer more favorable borrowing terms for those who maintain consistent financial discipline. While the bank aims to incentivize good credit habits, potential borrowers should note that individual eligibility and specific interest rate offers remain subject to the bank's internal assessment of their credit profile. Further details regarding specific application requirements and long-term impacts on the local lending market remain to be confirmed.
