A source-backed guide to Thailand Privilege membership, the related long-term visa pathway and its important limits.

What this page covers
Thailand Privilege is a membership programme operated by Thailand Privilege Card. It is not the same as a retirement, work, LTR, SMART or DTV route. Membership approval and the related visa process must be completed under the programme’s current terms.
Official classification
- Thailand Privilege membership packages with associated privilege-entry visa arrangements
- Current packages and validity periods are published by Thailand Privilege and may change by programme terms
Prepare the application carefully
- Use the official Thai e-Visa portal to select the live visa category for the passport/travel-document country and current application location.
- Applicants must be outside Thailand when applying through the e-Visa process. Do not start from an assumption that a visa is available solely because a category appears in a general list.
- Create the e-Visa account, complete the form accurately, upload the documents requested for that exact route, pay the applicable fee and keep the approval confirmation sent by email.
- A valid passport and photograph
- Completed membership application and the documents requested by Thailand Privilege
- Membership approval and payment under the current programme terms before visa issuance
- Any additional documents requested for the applicant’s nationality or individual review
Visa, entry and stay are separate decisions
Thailand Privilege publishes membership packages and related visa arrangements. The programme’s current terms, membership approval and the relevant Thai authority determine the individual result; an entry decision remains with Immigration.
Activity boundary
A Thailand Privilege membership is not a work permit and should not be marketed as a general employment authorization, permanent residence or citizenship path.
Known developments and changes to watch
Thailand Privilege introduced new Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Reserve packages in 2023 and its current site also lists Bronze. Package names, prices, benefits and promotions can change, so readers should use the official membership page rather than historic Elite-card material.
