Thai Sky Adventures Pattaya
Thai Sky Adventures is a full-time skydiving centre in Si Racha district, Chon Buri province, next to the Nong Kho Reservoir and north of Pattaya. Operating since 2009, the drop zone describes itself as USPA-affiliated and follows the safety rules of the USPA Skydiver's Information Manual. From its own runway, a small fleet of turbine aircraft climbs to up to 13,000 ft, giving views over the Gulf of Thailand, Pattaya and the Chon Buri hills.
First-timers come mainly for the tandem skydive: a short briefing, a scenic climb of about 20 minutes, around 60 seconds of freefall and a parachute ride of several minutes with an experienced instructor. Optional freefall video, photos or a deluxe edit are filmed by a dedicated camera flyer. Tandem students do not need to speak English. The minimum age is 12 with written parental consent, and the maximum weight is 115 kg.
For people who want to go further, the centre teaches the Accelerated Freefall (AFF) programme and the full USPA "A" Licence course. Licensed skydivers can fun jump with their FAI-recognised licence, with rental gear, coaching and canopy courses available. The team is multilingual, with contacts in English, Thai, Chinese and Russian, and the company says about three quarters of its instructors are now Thai.
