Thailand Prepares to Host Global Energy Summit 'Gastech 2026'
The Thai Cabinet has officially established a national committee to oversee preparations for the Gastech 2026 exhibition, scheduled for September 2026 in Bangkok.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, the Thai Cabinet has approved a proposal from the Ministry of Energy to form a national committee dedicated to organizing the Gastech Exhibition & Conference 2026. The event is slated to take place in Bangkok from September 14 to 17, 2026.
Gastech is recognized as a major global platform for energy technology and innovation. The conference facilitates discussions among government leaders, industry experts, and investors regarding natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen fuel, clean energy, and artificial intelligence. Previous editions have been hosted by energy-leading nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and Italy, which hosted the 2025 event with over 50,000 attendees from 150 countries.
For residents and travelers, this announcement signals that Bangkok will likely see a significant influx of international business professionals and industry experts during the event period.
