Thai actor Tao Sattaphong recently reported a cybersecurity incident involving his personal Network-Attached Storage (NAS) device. According to a report by Khaosod Online, the actor discovered that his data storage system had been locked by ransomware, a malicious software that restricts access to files until a ransom is paid.

In response to the breach, Tao utilized his personal Instagram account to solicit help from IT professionals or data recovery experts capable of resolving the situation. He explicitly requested that qualified individuals contact him via direct message to assist in recovering his data.

For residents and expatriates in Thailand, this incident serves as a reminder of the increasing prevalence of digital threats targeting personal data storage devices.
