Tak Province Prepares for Final Round of Thailand Cycling Championships

According to General Decha Hemkrasri, President of the Cycling Association of Thailand, preparations are complete for the fifth and final round of the 2026 Thailand Cycling Championships. The event, featuring both road and mountain bike categories, will take place at Bhumibol Dam in Tak province from August 7 to 9, 2026.

Road cycling events will utilize routes within the dam and parts of Sam Ngao District, while mountain bike competitions will be held entirely within the dam grounds. Tak Governor Chusak Ruying has confirmed that local authorities, including police, health officials, and rescue volunteers, are fully prepared to manage traffic and ensure safety.

For residents and travelers, this event is expected to draw over 2,000 participants and spectators, which may lead to increased traffic and high demand for local lodging. Organizers have advised those planning to attend to secure accommodations immediately, as availability in the dam area and Sam Ngao District is limited. While the province reports 100% readiness, visitors should anticipate a busy atmosphere in the region during the three-day competition.
