According to a report by Khaosod Online, a 24-year-old Chinese woman is suffering from severe facial deformity after a routine procedure intended to correct a minor jaw protrusion. The patient, who sought a 2-millimeter reduction, claims that the surgeon instead pushed her lower jaw forward by 13 millimeters.

Beyond the structural misalignment, the patient reports additional complications, including metal needles piercing her tooth roots and a deviated nasal septum that hinders her breathing. Experts reviewing the case have described the outcome as a major procedural error, noting that the surgery was performed in the opposite direction of the patient's request. Despite the severity of the damage, the operating surgeon reportedly defended the result, claiming the patient’s new appearance looked more 'Western and stylish.'
