Fatal Traffic Accident Reported in Phayao Province

On July 30, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Phayao-Chiang Kham road in the Huai Lan sub-district of Dok Khamtai, Phayao. According to reports from Khaosod Online Thailand, a pickup truck collided with a ten-wheel truck before losing control and striking a parked sidecar motorcycle.

Emergency responders, including the Khuntham Saengthong Rescue Association, were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:52 a.m. following a request from the Dok Khamtai Police Station. Upon arrival, authorities found the pickup truck severely damaged, with the driver, identified as Mr. Phradung, trapped inside the vehicle. Despite the efforts of rescue teams using hydraulic cutting equipment, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. The ten-wheel truck involved in the initial collision was also found off the side of the road.
