According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a British couple named Louisa and Dan made an unexpected discovery while renovating their home, which dates back to before 1900. While clearing out a bricked-up area under their basement stairs, the pair found a collection of coal and a rusted, foul-smelling paint bucket. After leaving the bucket untouched for several months, they finally decided to open it on camera.

Inside, they discovered a stash of British pound banknotes from the 1970s, totaling more than £1,000 (approximately 43,000 Thai Baht). Louisa stated that the find was a significant relief for her family, as she had recently lost her job.
