Student Admits to Hoax School Shooting Threat in Chonburi
A first-year middle school student in Bang Lamung has confessed to fabricating a school shooting threat, leading to a two-day closure of the institution.
A school in the Bang Lamung district of Chonburi province suspended classes for two days, November 5-6, 2026, following a reported threat of a school shooting. The school administration, prioritizing student safety, ordered an immediate closure and coordinated the pickup of over 1,000 students by their parents. Police Colonel Sarawut Nuchnart, Superintendent of Bang Lamung Police Station, confirmed that a first-year middle school student, identified as 'Student A,' has confessed to creating the hoax.
