According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated on the evening of October 1, 2026, in the Tak Bai district of Narathiwat province. The device was concealed within a motorcycle sidecar, locally known as a 'saleng,' parked in front of a PT gas station on Highway 4327 in Ban Pulanibong, Moo 2, Chehe sub-district.

Authorities confirmed that there were no injuries or fatalities resulting from the blast. Following the incident, security personnel immediately cordoned off the area to secure the scene and prevent secondary incidents.
