Ministry of Natural Resources Mobilizes Flood Relief in Lat Krabang
Minister Suchart Chomklin has deployed additional resources to assist flood-affected residents in Bangkok's Lat Krabang district.
On September 28, 2026, Suchart Chomklin, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, visited the flood relief coordination center at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) to oversee support operations. According to Khaosod Online, the Ministry has launched the 'One MNRE' initiative, deploying six additional mobile kitchens and a fleet of boats to deliver food, water, and essential supplies to communities where road access is restricted.
Minister Suchart emphasized that the priority is to ensure aid reaches vulnerable groups, including the elderly, children, and patients, particularly in areas currently inaccessible by vehicle. The Ministry is coordinating efforts to ensure that no flood victims are left without support. As of the report, approximately 700 people are being housed in local shelters, with numbers expected to rise.
For residents and travelers in the area, this indicates ongoing flood-related disruptions in Lat Krabang. While the government is actively managing the situation, those in the vicinity should expect localized travel delays and potential logistical challenges. The Ministry is scheduled to extend its relief operations to the Kheha Rom Klao area on September 29.
