Armed Attack in Ang Thong Leaves One Man Critically Injured
A 39-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition following a drive-by shooting involving three vehicles in Ang Thong province.
On the evening of September 28, 2026, a violent incident occurred in Ban It, Mueang Ang Thong district, where a 39-year-old man identified as Somjin was shot multiple times. According to reports from Khaosod Online, the attack involved three vehicles—two sedans and one pickup truck—which opened fire on the victim's residence. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his back, left thigh, and left upper arm. Emergency responders from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation transported him to Ang Thong Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Local authorities, led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Meesak Srithong of the Mueang Ang Thong Police Station, arrived at the scene to collect evidence and review CCTV footage. A delivery van parked at the location was also reported to have sustained significant damage from the gunfire.
