ttb Bank Launches Flood Relief Measures for Customers
TMBThanachart Bank (ttb) has introduced a new relief program to support customers affected by recent flooding, offering debt payment deferrals and installment reductions.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, TMBThanachart Bank (ttb) has launched the 'Tang Lak' (Establish Foundation) relief measure to assist customers impacted by the ongoing flood situation in Thailand. The initiative is designed to provide financial flexibility for individuals and businesses struggling with the aftermath of the disaster.
For individual customers, the bank is offering a maximum debt payment deferral of up to three months. This applies to various credit products, including home loans, auto loans, personal loans, and credit cards. For business clients, the relief is more extensive, allowing for a principal payment holiday of up to six months. Additionally, the bank is offering a reduction in installment payments for business hire-purchase loans by as much as 70%.
For residents and expatriates in Thailand, this measure may be significant if you hold accounts or loans with ttb and have been directly affected by flood damage. It provides a potential avenue to manage cash flow during recovery periods. However, it remains to be confirmed which specific documentation or proof of flood impact is required by the bank to qualify for these relief measures. Customers are advised to contact their local ttb branch or the bank’s official customer service channels directly to verify their eligibility and the specific terms applicable to their individual loan agreements.
