Authorities Deploy Pumps to Combat Flooding in Central Thailand

Following persistent heavy rainfall, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Suchart Chomklin has directed relevant agencies to address rising floodwaters in the provinces of Prachin Buri, Sing Buri, and Saraburi. According to a report by Thai Post on September 26, 2026, the Minister has instructed the 2nd and 6th Offices of Water Resources to mobilize machinery, water pumps, and personnel to these regions immediately.

The primary objective of this operation is to accelerate water drainage and mitigate the impact on local residents whose homes and livelihoods have been disrupted by the inundation. The Ministry is currently monitoring the situation closely to ensure that relief efforts are deployed effectively.
