Central Pattana Opens Four Shopping Malls as Flood Shelters for Vehicles
Central Pattana has designated four of its shopping centers as temporary parking zones to help residents in flood-prone areas protect their vehicles.
In response to ongoing flooding across several provinces in Thailand, Central Pattana Public Company Limited has announced that it is opening parking facilities at four of its shopping malls to assist affected residents. The initiative aims to provide a secure location for citizens to move their vehicles out of high-risk flood zones.
The participating locations are Central Ayutthaya, Central Korat, Central Chonburi, and Central Sriracha. According to Khaosod Online, specific areas have been allocated for this purpose, such as the 1.5-floor parking building at Central Ayutthaya and the 2.5-floor Parking B building at Central Korat.
For residents looking to utilize these facilities, registration is required. Owners must provide a copy of their national ID card and a copy of their vehicle registration document to staff at designated flood-parking desks. For arrivals outside of standard business hours, security personnel at the mall entrances can assist with the registration process.
It is important to note that the company has specified that these parking spots are limited to designated areas and that the shopping centers do not accept liability for the vehicles parked under this program. Residents are advised to contact the specific malls directly for further details or to confirm space availability before traveling, as conditions may change rapidly depending on the severity of the flooding in each region.
