Bhumjaithai Party MP Songpol Suksomboon has clarified his involvement in a local flood relief effort following social media criticism regarding the distribution of foam boards.

According to Khaosod Online, the MP clarified that the foam boards were provided by the Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO), not by him personally. He stated that he encountered the PAO team while inspecting a canal following resident complaints and stopped to assist. He emphasized that his team’s social media posts clearly identified the source of the supplies.
Regarding the flood situation in Bang Ban District, Songpol noted that while current water levels are lower than in 2025, residents are concerned about rapid water releases and short-notice alerts that hinder preparation. He stated he is coordinating with the government on long-term solutions while continuing immediate relief efforts.
