Luang Pu Daeng, born Daeng Kobkrai on September 26, 1903, was a highly respected figure in the Thai Buddhist community. He held several significant ecclesiastical positions, including advisor to the Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor of Si Sa Ket and District Ecclesiastical Governor of Kantharalak. He was affectionately referred to as 'Chao Khun Pu' by the late Somdet Phra Phutthachan (Kiao Upaseno) of Wat Saket.
