New 'Chinnabanchorn' Amulet Series Released to Support Wat Khonsai
A new collection of sacred amulets has been launched to fund the installation of a replica Phra That Phanom at Wat Khonsai in Yasothon province.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, a group known as the 'Mangkon Sap Mongkhon' team has received permission to create a new series of sacred amulets titled 'Chinnabanchorn - Chao Sua Phan Lan.' This initiative serves as a commemorative project for the casting of a replica Phra That Phanom, the revered Buddhist site located in Nakhon Phanom province.
The primary objective of this project is to raise funds to install a replica of the Phra That Phanom at Wat Khonsai in the Loeng Nok Tha district of Yasothon province. This temple is currently the residence of the 109-year-old monk, Luang Pu Thin Chanthathammo.
The amulets are available in three-tier and nine-tier designs, with four distinct variations produced in limited quantities. The design is inspired by the 11 replica Phra That Phanom statues previously donated to Wat Khonsai. For collectors and those interested in Thai Buddhist culture, the series includes various 'lucky draw' tiers, with production runs ranging from 250 to 1,000 pieces per category.
For residents and travelers interested in Thai spiritual traditions, this release highlights the ongoing practice of creating sacred objects to support temple infrastructure.
