Thai Health Promotion Foundation Addresses Youth Risk Factors
The Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) has launched the 'Good Life Vibe Good' initiative to help youth navigate social pressures and avoid health risks.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) has introduced the 'Good Life Vibe Good' campaign to support youth aged 15–24 in making healthier life choices. The initiative aims to provide creative spaces for young people to discuss challenges such as vaping, alcohol consumption, online gambling, and domestic violence.
While a 2024 survey of 2,035 youth in Bangkok and surrounding areas indicated a decline in smoking and alcohol consumption, ThaiHealth officials emphasize that new users and digital-age risks remain significant concerns. The campaign encourages young people to define a 'good life' through mindful decision-making rather than external appearances or trends. Actor Thanapob Leeratanakajorn participated in the event to share personal insights on maintaining mental and physical well-being amidst modern societal pressures.
For residents and visitors, this initiative highlights ongoing public health efforts to mitigate social risks among the younger generation. While the campaign provides a platform for awareness, the long-term impact on reducing specific issues like online gambling and domestic violence remains to be seen. Further data and future assessments from ThaiHealth will be necessary to determine the effectiveness of these interventions in changing youth behavior patterns across the country.
