On September 24, 2026, a traffic accident occurred in Huai Rat District, Buriram Province, when a 23-year-old man lost control of his pickup truck while driving on the Huai Rat–Ban Sanuan road. According to reports from Khaosod Online, the driver was returning from a hospital visit during heavy rainfall when the vehicle veered off the road.
The truck struck two parked vehicles before crashing directly into a coin-operated laundromat. A 24-year-old woman who was waiting inside the facility was struck by the vehicle and sustained injuries from the impact. Emergency responders from the Sawang Janyatham Buriram Foundation arrived at the scene to provide first aid before transporting the victim to Huai Rat Hospital for further treatment.
