Firework Explosion Causes Significant Damage in Nakhon Ratchasima
A firework manufacturing house was destroyed in an explosion in Chum Phuang district, damaging over 30 nearby homes and leaving one person critically injured.
On the evening of September 24, 2026, a firework explosion occurred in Ban Tha, located in the Chum Phuang district of Nakhon Ratchasima province. According to reports from Khaosod Online, the blast completely destroyed the house where the fireworks were being produced. The force of the explosion also caused varying degrees of damage to more than 30 neighboring residences.
Emergency responders and local fire crews were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the resulting blaze. One individual, identified as 47-year-old Mr. Hathai Phat, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Chum Phuang Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
For residents and travelers in the area, the site remains cordoned off by the Chum Phuang Police Station as investigators work to determine the exact cause of the incident. Local authorities are currently conducting a survey of the affected properties to assess the extent of the damage and determine the appropriate legal assistance and compensation measures.
