Thai Cycling Association Chief Attends 195th UCI Congress in Montreal

General Decha Hemkrasri, President of the Cycling Association of Thailand and Vice President of the Asian Cycling Confederation, recently attended the 195th UCI Congress in Montreal, Canada. The event, chaired by UCI President David Lappartient, brought together representatives from 206 member nations to discuss the future of international cycling.

A key outcome of the meeting is a new initiative to send young male and female Thai cyclists to France for a one-month intensive training camp prior to the 2027 World Championships. Additionally, the congress addressed structural changes to the Junior Nations Cup, which will now be organized on a continental basis, and outlined new procedures for accessing support from the UCI development fund.
