Foreign National Missing After Falling from Bridge During Flooding in Chonburi

According to reports from Khaosod Online, a search is underway for a foreign national who went missing after falling into the Ta Yai canal in Soi Noen Phlap Wan, Nong Prue, Chonburi, at approximately 5:00 AM on September 24, 2026. The individual was part of a group of three foreign men walking through floodwaters when the accident occurred.

Local residents reported that the bridge at the site has lacked safety railings for over 20 years. Following the incident, authorities installed metal barriers to prevent further accidents. Police are currently attempting to locate the two other men who were with the missing person. Witnesses stated that these individuals had requested help from bystanders to rescue their friend before leaving the scene.

While initial reports regarding the nationality of the group were conflicting, suggesting either Chinese or South Korean origins, investigators are currently analyzing digital communication records from ride-hailing applications to confirm the identity of the missing person, with current indications pointing toward a South Korean national.
