Mars Opens First Pringles Manufacturing Plant in Thailand
Mars Snacking has invested 7 billion baht to establish its first Pringles production facility in Chonburi, creating over 170 local jobs.
According to Khaosod Online, American snack giant Mars has officially launched its first Pringles manufacturing plant in Thailand. Located in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in Nong Yai District, Chonburi, the facility spans 73,800 square meters and represents a total investment of 7 billion baht.
Gabriel Fernandez, President of Mars Snacking for the AMEA region, stated that the plant began operations in late 2025 following a construction phase that commenced in October 2023. The facility currently employs over 170 people directly and serves as a regional production hub, exporting Pringles products to markets including India, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Notably, the company reports that nearly 50% of the factory's total expenditure is directed toward local suppliers, highlighting its integration into the Thai supply chain.
For residents and travelers, this development underscores the continued industrial growth within the EEC and the strengthening of Thailand's position as a regional manufacturing base for global consumer brands. While the plant is now fully operational, further details regarding potential future expansions or the introduction of new product lines specifically for the domestic Thai market remain to be confirmed by the company.
