A 54-year-old man was killed in a violent altercation at a rental property in Rayong, with police currently searching for the primary suspect.
On September 24, 2026, local authorities in Ban Khai District, Rayong, responded to a fatal incident at a rental housing complex in Chak Bok sub-district. According to Khaosod Online, police discovered the body of 54-year-old Mr. Bunmee, who had sustained a severe, fatal neck wound caused by a sharp object.
Witness testimony provided by a companion, Mr. Sirimongkol, indicates that the victim had been drinking and eating with friends when an individual identified as Mr. Anant—described as a long-standing rival from a decade ago—arrived at the scene. While the exact sequence of events remains under investigation, the victim was found dead near the drinking area.
Police officers visited the residence of the primary suspect, Mr. Anant, but found the premises empty. Investigators recovered a knife that appeared to have been cleaned, which has been taken as evidence.
