Gold Prices Eye $4,400 Resistance Amid Market Volatility

Gold prices are showing signs of recovery, approaching the $4,400 mark as easing oil prices reduce inflationary pressures.

According to Khaosod Online, gold prices have shown a steady recovery, climbing back above the $4,300 level. Arirat Murachai, lead analyst at GCAP Gold, attributes this upward momentum to a decline in oil prices, which has helped alleviate inflation concerns and reduced selling pressure in the gold market.

For residents and investors in Thailand, this trend is significant as it reflects broader global economic shifts. Analysts suggest that while the metal is testing the $4,400 resistance level, the market remains sensitive to several external factors. Key variables that could influence future price movements include fluctuations in the U.S. dollar, U.S. Treasury bond yields, Federal Reserve interest rate policies, and ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Investment strategies currently suggest caution. Analysts recommend waiting for price pullbacks to the $4,330–$4,300 range (approximately 68,250–67,800 Thai Baht) before considering purchases. Short-term profit-taking is suggested between $4,400 and $4,420. Should the price firmly stabilize above $4,420 (roughly 69,500 Thai Baht), there is potential for further testing toward the $4,500 mark. Investors are advised to monitor these indicators closely, as the market remains subject to high volatility. It remains to be confirmed how sustained these inflationary relief factors will be in the coming weeks.
