GSB Launches New Loan Scheme for Small Vendors

The Government Savings Bank (GSB) has introduced the 'QR Maha Heng x Nok Krasib' loan program, offering up to 50,000 THB to small-scale merchants.

According to Khaosod Online, the Government Savings Bank (GSB) has officially opened registration for the 'QR Maha Heng x Nok Krasib' loan scheme. This initiative, running until October 31, 2026, is designed to support small vendors and SMEs by providing access to capital without the need for traditional collateral.

Eligible applicants can borrow up to 50,000 THB at a fixed interest rate of 0.75% per month. The program utilizes the Ministry of Finance’s 'Nok Krasib' AI system, which analyzes real-time sales data from the 'Thung Ngern' application to assess creditworthiness. This approach aims to assist entrepreneurs who may lack formal financial documentation, allowing them to secure working capital for purchasing inventory or managing business cycles.

For residents and business owners in Thailand, this program represents a significant effort to integrate informal traders into the formal financial system. It may provide a vital liquidity boost for those operating within the 'Thai Chuay Thai Plus' project. Interested parties can apply via the official GSB website. While the program is now active, potential applicants should verify their specific eligibility criteria through the bank’s official channels, as the AI-based assessment process relies on specific transaction history within the designated payment applications.
