Survey Reveals High Stress Levels Among Youth in Nakhon Ratchasima

A recent survey of 1,070 teenagers in Nakhon Ratchasima indicates that nearly 70% experience significant stress linked to academic pressures, bullying, and family expectations.

On September 24, 2026, during the National Youth Day event held at The Mall Korat, findings from a survey conducted among 1,070 youth aged 13–18 in Nakhon Ratchasima were released. According to Khaosod Online, the data reveals that nearly 70% of respondents report feeling stressed due to academic examinations, bullying, and pressure from their families. The survey, presented by youth activist Prachsuta Chudecha, recorded an average happiness score of 3.70 out of 5, while the average pressure score stood at 3.19.

The event, organized by the Youth Network for Health Communication and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), focused on the theme of creating a safe and creative city for all. For residents and expatriates, these findings highlight ongoing social challenges regarding the mental well-being of the younger generation in the region. While the survey provides a snapshot of the current emotional climate among local students, it remains to be seen how local authorities and educational institutions will respond to these specific concerns regarding student mental health. The data serves as a call to action for community stakeholders to prioritize youth support systems and foster a more inclusive environment.
