PTT Announces Interim Dividend and Share Resale Plan
The PTT board has approved an interim dividend of 1.40 baht per share and a plan to sell 238.66 million treasury shares on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, the board of directors of PTT Public Company Limited has officially approved an interim dividend payment of 1.40 baht per share. This distribution amounts to a total value of approximately 39.7 billion baht. Investors should note that the stock will go ex-dividend (XD) on October 7, 2026.
In addition to the dividend announcement, the company has authorized a plan to sell 238.66 million treasury shares, representing no more than 0.84% of the company's total shares. This sale is scheduled to take place on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) between September 28 and October 12, 2026. The company has stated that if these shares are not fully sold within the specified timeframe, the remaining shares will be subject to a capital reduction process through share cancellation.
For residents and investors in Thailand, these developments reflect significant corporate activity within one of the nation's largest energy entities. While the dividend provides a direct return to shareholders, the resale of treasury shares is a notable market event that may influence trading volume. It remains to be confirmed how the market will react to the share sale and whether the company will need to proceed with the planned capital reduction if the shares are not fully absorbed by the market.
