A 78-year-old motorcycle mechanic in Buriram was defrauded by a customer who fled without paying for services or goods.
On September 23, 2026, a theft occurred at a motorcycle repair shop in Chum Het, Buriram, targeting the 78-year-old proprietor, Mr. Thonglor Ngampimolkul. According to reports from Khaosod Online, a young man arrived at the shop on a motorcycle requesting an oil change. After the service was completed, the individual requested five additional bottles of engine oil, claiming he needed to test the vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene without paying for the service or the extra supplies.
Mr. Thonglor provided CCTV footage of the incident to local media, which clearly captured the suspect's actions. The incident has drawn local sympathy, as the elderly mechanic is known for his dedication to working to support himself despite his advanced age.
