Singha Corporation Backs Thai Padel Team for 2026 Asian Games Debut

Singha Corporation has officially partnered with the Padel Association of Thailand to support the national team’s participation in the upcoming 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. This event marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time padel has been included as a medal sport in the Asian Games.

Voravud Bhirombhakdi, Co-CEO of Boon Rawd Trading, highlighted the global growth of padel, which is currently played by over 38 million people across 150 countries. He noted that this partnership aims to foster the development of Thai athletes, ensuring they are prepared for international competition. Suphalak Chairoj, President of the Padel Association of Thailand, stated that the funding will be utilized to enhance training for athletes, coaches, and referees, while also improving infrastructure and promoting the sport domestically.

For residents and visitors in Thailand, this development signals a growing interest in the sport, which may lead to an increase in available facilities and local tournaments. While the association has confirmed the participation of four Thai athletes for the 2026 games, specific details regarding the full training schedule and the long-term roadmap for domestic padel infrastructure development remain to be confirmed.
