Thai National Shotgun Team Departs for 2026 World Shoot in Greece
A 26-member Thai national shotgun team has traveled to Greece to compete in the 2026 Shotgun World Shoot, following six months of intensive preparation.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the Thailand Practical Shooting Association (TPSA) has dispatched a national team of 26 male and female athletes to Greece to participate in the '2026 Shotgun World Shoot.' The competition is scheduled to take place from September 20 to October 4, 2026.
The team departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport on September 23, 2026, via flight EY407. Thotsaphon Hongsanat, the team manager and Vice President of the TPSA, stated that the athletes underwent a rigorous selection process and six months of comprehensive training. This preparation included not only technical shooting drills but also sports science and psychological conditioning to ensure peak performance.
For residents and visitors interested in local sports, this event highlights the professionalization of Thailand’s shooting sports community. The association has expressed high ambitions for the tournament, aiming to secure championship titles, building on the success of Thai athletes who achieved top honors four years ago.
