Bangkok Governor Announces Flood Preparedness Plan for September 24–27

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has announced a proactive flood management plan in response to heavy rainfall expected across the capital from September 24 to 27, 2026. According to Prachachat Business, the Governor conducted site inspections on the night of September 23 to monitor water levels and coordinate drainage efforts.

Key measures include increasing water retention capacity in designated areas and the continuous lowering of water levels in major canals to create space for incoming runoff.
