Investigation Demanded Following Illegal Gambling Den Raid in Din Daeng
A Thai MP has called for an investigation into a mysterious phone call linked to an illegal gambling operation discovered in Bangkok's Din Daeng district.
On September 24, 2026, Chayut Dejdecho, a list MP and advisor to the House Committee on Police, publicly addressed the recent raid on an illegal gambling den located in Soi Prachasongkroh 14, Din Daeng district. During the raid, officials intercepted a suspicious phone call directed to the person in charge of the premises. The caller was allegedly linked to an individual referred to as 'Sia P. 888.' Following this discovery, Chayut has formally requested that the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau investigate the identity of the caller and the true ownership of the gambling site. Furthermore, he has urged the Governor of Bangkok to examine the conduct of the Din Daeng District Director regarding potential negligence in allowing unauthorized building modifications.
