Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has introduced a new initiative to integrate bicycles into the city's public transport network to address traffic congestion.
During the 'Bangkok Car Free 2026' event, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt emphasized that expanding road infrastructure is insufficient to solve the city's chronic traffic congestion. Instead, he proposed a strategic shift toward promoting cycling as a primary solution for 'first-mile' and 'last-mile' connectivity.
