Stray Dog Pack Causes Safety Concerns in Pathum Thani

According to a report by Khaosod Online on September 23, 2026, residents in Bang Phun, Pathum Thani, have raised alarms regarding a pack of more than 20 stray dogs. The animals, which typically reside in an overgrown private plot near the Som Sang road heading toward Rangsit, have been forced onto public sidewalks and roads due to recent heavy rainfall and flooding in their usual habitat.

Local residents have reported that the dogs frequently congregate near convenience stores and residential entrances, particularly at night. The presence of the pack has led to multiple traffic accidents, as drivers are forced to brake or swerve suddenly to avoid animals running into the road. Furthermore, there have been documented reports of residents being bitten by the dogs. Investigations revealed that the dogs gather in the area partly because individuals regularly provide food and water at the site.
