Man Arrested in Ratchaburi After Attempting to Hide in Jackfruit Tree
Police in Ratchaburi arrested a man for drug possession after he attempted to evade a raid by hiding in a tree.
On September 23, 2026, police officers from the Bang Phae Station in Ratchaburi province conducted a raid on a residence in Wang Yen sub-district following reports of drug-related activity. Upon arrival, officers initially found the premises empty, suggesting the suspect had fled the scene.
During a search of the surrounding area, officers discovered a man hiding in a jackfruit tree. After being called down, the individual nearly fell but was safely assisted by the police. A subsequent search of the suspect revealed 41 methamphetamine pills in his possession. The man admitted to consuming the drug prior to the police arrival. He has been taken into custody and faces charges related to the possession and use of illegal narcotics.
