New Khlong Luang Interchange Project to Ease Traffic Congestion

The Department of Rural Roads (DRR) has unveiled plans for a new interchange project located at the intersection of rural road Pathum Thani 4001 and Highway 352 in Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. According to DRR Director-General Pichit Hunsiri, the project is backed by a budget of 390 million baht and is part of a broader initiative to enhance transport infrastructure and safety standards in the metropolitan area.

The intersection currently experiences heavy traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours, involving a mix of large trucks, logistics vehicles, and private cars. This high volume of traffic has frequently led to accidents. The project aims to mitigate these issues, improve travel efficiency, and support the local logistics economy.

For residents and commuters in the area, this development is expected to significantly reduce travel times and enhance road safety once completed. The project is currently in the preparation phase for construction, with an estimated completion date set for 2029.
