Chulalongkorn University to Redevelop Prime Bangkok Land
Chulalongkorn University is reclaiming 291 rai of land in the Pathum Wan-Sam Yan area to modernize public facilities, including the Supachalasai Stadium.
According to Prachachat Business, the Chulalongkorn University Property Office has announced plans to reclaim a significant 291-rai plot of land located in the heart of Bangkok, spanning the Sam Yan and Pathum Wan districts. The initiative aims to transform this prime real estate into a modernized public space, with a primary focus on upgrading the historic Supachalasai Stadium to meet international standards.
As part of this transition, the Department of Physical Education is scheduled to close the Nimibutr Stadium on October 1, 2026. Operations will be relocated to Thanyaburi, with future plans to establish a new headquarters and sports complex in Bang Ping.
