Search Operation Underway for Five Missing Crew Members Following Shipwreck
Thai authorities have launched a search and rescue operation for five missing Myanmar crew members after the fishing vessel 'S. Kanjanawaree 888' sank at sea.
On September 23, 2026, the Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Center (Region 1) initiated a search operation for five Myanmar nationals who remain missing following the sinking of the fishing vessel 'S. To address the situation, the Royal Thai Navy’s First Naval Area Command has deployed a special operations unit, including Navy SEAL divers, to the site.
