Thailand National Team Calls Up Peerawat Akkratum to Replace Injured Jonathan Khemdee
Jonathan Khemdee has been ruled out of the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup due to a severe knee injury, with Peerawat Akkratum named as his replacement.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the Thailand national football team has made a roster change ahead of the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup in Indonesia. Head coach Anthony Hudson has called up Port FC defender Peerawat Akkratum to replace Ratchaburi FC’s Jonathan Khemdee.
Khemdee suffered a serious injury during a training session. Medical examinations revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament (MCL), and a torn meniscus. These injuries require surgery and a lengthy recovery period, effectively ending his season.
