New Solar Energy Initiative Launched for Remote Royal Projects
The Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB) and the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) have signed an MOU to install solar power systems in 19 remote locations.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB), the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), and the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to implement renewable energy solutions. This initiative aims to provide electricity to remote areas and locations associated with Royal Development Projects, particularly in forest and highland regions.
In the first year of the project, 19 pilot sites have been selected for the installation of solar power systems with capacities ranging from 20 to 80 kilowatts. The primary objective of this collaboration is to address challenges related to the extension of the national power grid into difficult-to-reach terrains, thereby ensuring a more reliable energy supply for these specific communities.
For residents and travelers, this development signifies an effort to improve infrastructure in isolated regions, potentially enhancing the stability of essential services.
